Cafeteria 15L Ratings and Reviews
Fun times! Visiting my kids in Sac from Healdsburg- easy access and we were accommodated al fresco. Great food, wine, and ambiance,. Valet was kind and informative. There's a nightclub behind the restaurant called "The Park". Great patio location for warm summer nights!
Went for brunch before a show and it was excellent. The food was fresh and great! Got the unlimited mimosas which was a good deal. The waiter made sure to top off the drinks when low! Customer service was very good, very friendly and attentive.
This is the second time we have chosen this place for brunch. We had a 9:30 reservation which I was notified by text that our table was ready before we even arrived. The food was excellent, asked for a side of fruit (great mix) instead of breakfast potatoes with no problem. It was so nice to see families on a Saturday morning dining with their newborns, toddlers and young children. Our son who lives in San Francisco is always impressed when we bring him here.
Came here for a friends birthday. We brought in cupcakes to celebrate and were told there would be a $1 charge per cupcake we brought in because outside desserts are not allowed. We never had this problem at other restaurants, to name a few: Oz, Chicago Fire, Mikunis. The hostess and service was average, they didn't seem to pay much attention to us but did not forget to remind us about the extra fee for outside dessert. The restaurant itself was great, we opted for outdoor seating in the patio area which was gorgeous and the food was excellent. Warning to those wanting to celebrate a Birthday at Cafeteria, do not bring cupcakes or your own bday cake.
We were unfortunately there the night of the NBA draft while they were hosting a very energetic draft party. It made it nearly impossible to hear during the first part of our meal. I wish the restaurant would have alerted us when I made the reservation that this was going on so we could have made other plans. The food and service were both very good.
This was the 3rd time we have visited Cafeteria 15L. The service and food was fine. However, we did not know that they were hosting a Sacramento Kings Draft party. As a result, it was NOISY!
Could not carry on a conversation.I did not recall any warning of this event when I made the reservation. If I had known, we would have skipped this restaurant. It was not a horrible experience, but given that we had our son and his family from out of town with us -- I wish it was a better experience.
Do not go to Cafeteria 15L for small Special Events, unless you're renting a room. Birthdays are not considered any different from a normal dining experience no matter how well you plan ahead in advance.
Noise travels in the open room dining area. Staff can't hear you OR they simply are not listening.
Group Events are NOT Good unless your paying in a single check.
We really like this local gem and have been here many times before events at the Community Center. I was thrilled when I was able to get a table for Father's Day. My husband loves the Chicken and Waffles, and honestly, everything we've had has been delicious. That's why it was disappointing to be seated at a table that hadn't been properly cleaned and set up. there was a puddle on the floor and we has no utensils. When we first gave our drink orders to the server, we asked for it to be cleaned. We.had to ask 3 times, and our server had to come and take care of it herself. We got food and still no utensils. No one to ask. I finally just stole some from another table.
Our meal was delicious and well prepared but the lapse in table service marred our experience. Definitely not on game that day.
The Brunch for Fathers Day was very busy. We had reservations so no wait. They did not have valet parking and that was very disappointing. We had to pay $25.00 to park because of Comiccom. Food was good. The homemade sausage was a bit too salty but otherwise all 9 of us enjoyed our meals.
I will always love the food here, as this is not my first time coming here for an occasion. However, the service for whatever reason is often poor. I'm unsure if it's a lack of staff or a lack of caring but to sit for 15 minutes before your given water is crazy. Then to wait for a waitress to take your order for another 15 minutes, and to wait 10 minutes for an apple juice for a toddler? Crazy thing is I had the same experience the last time I was here with just adults. Probably will only grab a drink here in the future and save dinning in for another location.
Had a big group, only took 5 minutes to be seated. Loved the ease of splitting checks. Our food came within 10 minutes of ordering. Everyone enjoyed their lunch, the waitress was very friendly and accommodating. Definitely A+ experience.
We ordered a meat loaf, beet salad and spicy poke. We previously have had meat loaf and beet salad and they were very delicious. This time, the meat loaf was very dry and had no taste. The beet salad was very different from the one I had just a month ago. It had a very sour dressing and looked as if they threw together what they had on hand at the time. The poke again had no taste at all. We were very disappointed. Did they change the chef?
Stopped in for Sunday brunch and it was absolutely amazing. Made reservation online but it wasn't totally necessary. Ambiance was great. The restaurant was beautiful & fun, the food came out faster than we could've imagined. Great service great hostess/server. Beautiful bar area would definitely come in for drinks!
We drove in for David Blaine show from Roseville food was very good. We ordered drinks my husband got Pepsi but it was root beer instead. Somehow the machine was pouring wrong soda. They fixed it but no matter how times they filled his drink it tasted like root beer mixed with Pepsi.
I usually love going to Cafeteria 15L, but I wasn't so thrilled with the service this last time. I didn't get my coffee until we were about 1/3 of the way through our meal, and it felt like our server just didn't really care about making our dining experience fantastic.
The food was still great though!
We had an early reservation that we were very late for; told them and then when we arrived 30mins before kitchen closing they still went out of their way to accommodate our group of 6. So good, we came back for brunch early the next morning.
I went to Cafeteria 15L for the first time for brunch, and less than one week later I was back to try their dinner. For brunch I had one of their skillets and it was absolutely to die for (very unhealthy, but worth it!). My two other friends both also loved their meals (one had an omelet, the other had french toast). When I returned for dinner, I came with my mom and her friend before we went to the Crest Theatre for a show. We all had some great beer and wine, my mom and I both had delicious burgers, and her friend had a really good Thai steak salad. The food was once again super delicious! The location is also really great, with parking garages all around and a short walk to other midtown and downtown locations as well as the capitol. Highly recommend for all occasions, both big and small groups!
Lovedddddd it! And the waitress was super sweet. Five of us got together for Sunday brunch and we never felt rushed even though I'm sure she was annoyed with how long we took to even look at our menus between catching up. Great place for brunch and bottomless mimosas!!!
Holiday Sunday so quite busy. That said despite a reservation for 8 and a stop in 1 hour before the reservation to double confirm, the check in desk was chaotic. We did get a good table with plenty of room for 8 but the host was so confused. Kept calling us the wrong name and number in our party.
Didn't spoil our fun. Bottomless mimosas lived to their name. Great waitress who never let them empty. Good food. Great prices on large yummy desserts. We'd go back
Really like the brunch here and it is really convenient to the Sac Community Center. Service was a little spotty this visit but it is a very busy place. We were seated for our reservation right away and never rushed in spite of the long wait for walk-ins.
